This is my masterpiece because it's the painting which changed my world. It's inspired by the wonderful photographic portrait of Beckett which is in the National Portrait Gallery.  I dream of having something hung in there one day...
It's the painting that got me picked up by an agent and subsequently, got me to leave my old job to paint professionally - a decision I have never regretted for one single moment (even the really skint moments!).  I have had enquiries to purchase it, but I'd never sell it!  It hangs in our little cottage and is my constant reminder of why I made such huge life changes, why I am driven to paint, and why my life is so much happier and fulfilling than it was before I painted this portrait
