This painting started out as a sketch as a therapeutic exercise at a time of crisis in my life; I was suffering from poor health and had reason to be upset, anxious and angry on account of a bad experience in my career as an artist.
The exercise proved to be cathartic for me; I knew I had to paint this sketch in order to experience release from all my pain.
Not only was I healed but I found that I had before me the best painting I have ever done -- my Masterpiece!
